Where a drawing gives overall size, shape, location, quantity, and orientation, the MEP 3D graph records CIC BIM Standards – General LOD-G 300. Where that same run also carries an installation hanger and a fastener, it records LOD-G 400. CIC BIM Standards – General is the ISO 19650-aligned parent standard, with the Hong Kong Local Annex. A centreline with no size stays below LOD-G 300.
A same-service gap, or a riser from one storey to the next, is closed the way a QS would close it and marked as an estimate. Hangers, fasteners, and a generic family type are estimates when the sheet does not name them. Measured centreline length is left as drawn. Fire rating, country of origin, and power are kept only when the bill or drawing states them.
